Results are out!

Results were released early and I had the shock of my life when I went to my school's portal and saw "semester 2 results released"

Well, it turned out, once again, better than I had expected.

Especially HRM. I thought my exam was a goner but my overall score turned out to be 88% so yeah, that was a really pleasant surprise. Other than that, the rest were kinda expected.

I'm really happy and this calls for a MASSIVE celebration!

retail therapy

Every time I get all stressed up about the exams, I will start to shop like a mad woman. Especially when the place I live is rural (not even sub urban), chances of shopping in departmental stores are close to NONE. Besides, being petite, Aussie clothing sizes cannot really fit me. So far, I have only found 5 places that actually have XXS and XS with decent looking clothing. But this doesn't mean it comes cheap.

So my next best choice is to do online shopping. For the past 2 days, I have already spent close to $300 on online shopping and bought like 20 pieces of clothing. It felt so. GOOD. but after that came the guilt.

But whatever! What's been done has been done. No point crying. All I have to do is just enjoy my new clothing when it arrives!

Meanwhile, EXAMS!

This time, I'm aiming for 3HDs and 1D, or maybe 4HDs to get the scholarship I applied for.

JIA YOU!!

Back to cosplay....

Well, it has been say.. 4 years since I last touched cosplay. Honestly, the last time I did it was simply out of curiosity and my friend kinda just dragged me into it. I wasn't anything professional.

So recently, my bf asked me if I would like to try it again and I was like..."why not?" So I chose an anime I watched few months ago and decided to go ahead with C.C from Code Geass. I didn't have the time to make or design the costume (even worse because i'm in Australia, I have no idea where to get my resources from.) So I just did one of those fan art ones of her in a huge white shirt.

Photo credits goes to my lovely bf who couldn't find his light box and had to make use of whatever he got. psssst.. he's also a freelancer too so look for him if you wanna do a shoot!

Honestly, nothing really special and still tons of room for improvement (it's only my second time ='( ) And I don't look anything like the character too =(

New Semester

it's a new semester and quite frankly, I feel a little down.

Not as motivated at my first semester that's for sure.

Somehow, it's because I feel like since I already have a plan and a future to work for, there is no need to study because, well, I don't need the degree to be an entrepreneur, right? And I should focus on my plans and do research on what I want to do and what I NEED to do.

But then again, if things doesn't work out, I guess I will need this degree to find a 8-5 job =/

My last semester's grades turned out really well and I was extremely delighted at the fruits of my labour. (my blood, tears and sweat finally paid off).

Because of last semester's results, Distinctions (D) no longer mean something to me anymore. Rather, I feel compelled to work towards getting all HIGH distinctions (HD). And the pressure to achieve that is overwhelming. It's as though I have everyone to account to if I get anything less than a D. D seems like the new standard of average. Now I understand why those Caucasians stereotype Asians as the brainy know-it-all.

I'm so tired even though it's only the first week of school.

Winter In Melb!

Thanks to I.S.A, I was given the opportunity to travel to Mt Baw Baw for an (intended) ski trip, which never happened.

So anyway, we got up at 730am to wash up and pack for the snow trip, took the coach and headed down to mountain Baw Baw.

Snow at the side of the road while the coach slowly climbed up the steep slopes.

In the bus with Francine and Diling!

It was windy there I could barely keep my eyes open

Took this selfie with asyraaf's huge DSLR.

It's so close up cuz my arms are too short :(

The amazing scenery

Diling saw this photo wall and went hysterical

hahahaha! I look so retarded here

There wasn't as much snow as we anticipated so we didn't ski

The only photo of Asy and I that had snow behind us.
Too bad the focus wasn't on us

Decided to do some exploring since we weren't skiing

Soft fluffy snow!

Asyraaf's Snow ball

Can;t be compared to mine though!!!

HAHAHAHAHA

My little playground

Made a snowball and...........

THREW IT AT ASYRAAF

It seriously hurts you know

Frozen pond

Then we went to see the sledge dogs

So many!

The dog on the ground is the only dog that isn't a husky.
The other was just bullying it
Poor thing

Climbed a small hill

BREAKING THE WIND CUZ IT'S TOO STRONG

Although I didn't get the chance to ski this time, I had fun.

Like what everyone says, it's the company that matters, not the event.

Melbourne Royal Botanic Garden

So Yesterday, Asyraaf decided to bring me to the Royal Melbourne Botanic Garden because we were broke and sad. (plus my dad didn't want to give me any more money cuz i had already spent 8k in 3 months)
So our only way was to go to a place that is FOC and can well, at least entertain us for a short time.

That. My dear people. Is a pigeon standing on the head of an iconic statue.

We took a tram to the botanic gardens and saw this interesting building and decided to check it out.
Turned out to be some memorial place....? But it was pretty cool

We saw some people standing at the top and we were like "OMG WE GOTTA GO UP THERE TO CHECK IT OUT!!"

And we did

The view was preety spectacular

Headed to the park after that because it was starting to get a little late. (it gets dark at 5:50pm and pitch dark at 6:30pm)

I guess my new favorite season is Autumn

Candid shot

OOTD:
Flared Sleeves Lace Top- USD 12
Beaded Belt- USD 5
Shorts- USD 12
Patterned Stockings: AUD 15
Nude Pumps: AUD 35

I am one hell of a cheapo shopper for clothes

After the really short "photot shoot" we went hunting for the lake and sawww....

 SWANS MUNCHING ON GRASSS

The rose pavilion

with no roses

Damn those eyebags :(

No roses, just lalangs...
Disappointing

And we found the lake!

We spent the next hour just staring at the lake and playing with ducks and weird looking birds

Later that night, Asyraaf brought me to Byblos for Middle Eastern food to celebrate the end of our exams

:))

We got the platter for 2 and completely forgot that in Melb, platter for 2 means PLATTER FOR 3!

HOLY CRAP LOOK AT THE AMOUNT OF FOOD

No idea what this is but it's cucumber stuffed with lamb and spiced rice and maybe cheese.

The best dish among the rest

This is the salad

Lamb and chicken skewer with some pizza looking thing that had too much onions.

=S

The sides: Curry puff thingy, Lamb things and one stuffed with fetta cheese

Thank you for the awesome dinner baby!
